Welcome to Kidd’s Preschool Enrichment Center, the premier center for early childhood education in Akron! We are excited to introduce our new aquatics coordinator who will lead our swim programs at the Shaw JCC of Akron.

Our new aquatics coordinator brings years of experience and expertise to our program. With a deep understanding of child development and water safety, they ensure that our swim lessons are tailored to each individual child's needs. They are certified in CPR and lifeguarding, providing you with the peace of mind knowing that your child is in capable hands.

Progressive Approach

Our aquatics program adopts a progressive approach to teaching swim skills. We believe in creating a positive and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable and motivated to learn. Starting from basic water familiarization, our program gradually introduces various strokes, water safety techniques, and advanced swimming skills. Every step of the way, our experienced instructors provide personalized guidance and encouragement, making the learning process enjoyable for every child.

Small Class Sizes

We maintain small class sizes to ensure individual attention and focused instruction. This allows our aquatics coordinator and dedicated instructors to closely monitor each child's progress and make necessary adjustments to their training. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced swimmer, they will receive the attention they need to reach their full potential and become confident swimmers.

Programs Offered

Our aquatics program offers a range of classes designed for children of different skill levels:

Parent and Child

  • Introduce infants and toddlers (aged 6 months to 3 years) to the water
  • Build water confidence and familiarity through games and activities
  • Focus on bonding and social development in a fun and safe environment

Preschool

  • Teach fundamental water safety skills and basic swimming techniques
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence in the water

Elementary

  • Hone swimming techniques and introduce advanced strokes
