Introduction to Al-Hijra/Muharram

At Kidd’s Preschool Enrichment Center, we believe in celebrating diversity and fostering cultural awareness among our young learners. To honor the Islamic month of Muharram, we organize special events and activities under the guidance of our dedicated teachers and staff.

Understanding the Importance of Al-Hijra/Muharram

Al-Hijra, also known as the Islamic New Year, marks the migration of the Islamic prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina. It is a time of reflection and renewal for Muslims worldwide. Muharram is the first month in the Islamic calendar and holds great significance. It commemorates various historical events, including the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad.
